Membership
Ujamaa Collective strives to promote small business ownership, particularly among African American women, advancing their self-sufficiency, entrepreneurial and creative outlet needs. Membership is open to Black women of African descent at designated times throughout the year. This is done through a formal application process, interview and product jurying. There are three membership types- Apprentice, Associate and Full.

Your membership in the Ujamaa Collective supports the development of a local economy in the Hill District and the expansion of Black Women owned businesses in the South Western Pennsylvania Region. It provides a forum for Ujamaa members to offer encouragement and support to one another and to create a new standard of excellence in creativity.
